Data Analysis
How do you analyze your data and develop reports? What are these?
-
A series of short videos designed to explain basic stats techniques, and how to do them in Excel, SPSS, and R.
-
This series was informed by several of Neil J. Salkind’s books on statistical training (Statistics for People
who Think They Hate Statistics, Excel Statistics: A Quick Guide, and Using SPSS for Windows and Macintosh), and by the online R community. This video series was created with National Science Foundation funding, #1423004.
How should you use them?
- To orient yourself to the different ways that basic stats help you understand data.
- To understand the stats is your evaluation reports and how they work.
- To remind yourself of stats you learned a while back, but feel a bit rusty with.
- As a primer for more comprehensive stats training.
How should you NOT use them?
-
To replace the statistical training needed for evaluation.
